ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

The School of Education (SOE) has approved programs for undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree) and graduate (Master's Degree) programs that prepare candidates for professional educator positions.

The SOE has approximately 500 students enrolled in its programs and is housed in the Mabee Center for Teaching and Learning (MTL). Classes are offered not only on the Hobbs Campus but selected courses are also offered through online delivery and off-site programs in New Mexico and Texas. Three organizations are sponsored by the SOE: Southwest Association for Future Educators (SAFE), Bilingual Education for Students and Teachers (B.E.S.T.), and Catholic Students Association (CSA).

Undergraduate Programs

 The SOE offers undergraduate coursework leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in

from the following academic content areas: Post-Bachelor's Degree teaching licensure plans are also available to individuals who have completed an undergraduate degree.

Graduate Programs

The SOE also offers graduate coursework that leads to a Master's of Science in Education with specialization in one of the following:

For individuals who have completed a Master's Degree, licensure plans are available in school counseling, educational administration, and educational diagnostics.
