Students, staff get ready for the start of classes on Aug. 20
Nearly a hundred and a dozen new students moved into their University of the Southwest rooms and attended orientation sessions in anticipation of classes that start Aug. 20.
Students and parents prepared for college life by visiting university staff representing areas, such as:
New students and their families partook of the Great Western Dining Service during a student and staff barbeque.
On Saturday, students also had the opportunity to visit with local representatives of community organizations and businesses such as churches, non-profit groups, and banks.
The women’s soccer team played scrimmage games over the weekend.
And on the day before classes begin, Student Life staff have organized a trip to the Carlsbad Caverns.
